Maappillai is directed by Suraj, and has Dhanush, Hansika Motwani, Vivek and Manisha Koirala in the lead roles. The film, a remake of Dhanush's father-in-law Rajinikanth's 1989 starrer of the same name, is complete and ready for release.
Maappillai is being marketed by Sun Pictures and is likely to release on April 15 for Vishu.
The family entertainer will be one of the big summer releases of 2011.
